Frequently Asked Questions

What if my ceremony is outside?
I am happy to play outdoors, but will need to be under an umbrella or covering of some kind to protect my instrument from the elements.

What do you usually wear?
I usually wear a maxi or midi length dress.

Do you require breaks?
I don't require a break during the ceremony, but if I am playing 2 or more hours, a 10 minute break every 50 minutes is standard.

Will you attend the wedding rehearsal?
It is not usual for me to attend the wedding rehearsal, as we will work out the music in detail. But if you feel more comfortable, I can attend for a fee of $100.

Do you ever play with amplification?
I do have a small amp that I can use if the space requires.

I have a song I'd like you to play that is not on your repertoire list. Can you  still play it?
I would be happy to arrange any piece of music for you.  There is a $5 fee per song arranged for the cost of buying sheet music.

Do we need to meet in person?
We can do all of our communication with email, but I would be happy to meet with you  if that is your preference.

Can you help with the music selection?
Absolutely! Together we will come up  with the perfect musical  selections to enhance this momentous life event!

What's included when I book you for my wedding?

  • Unlimited musical selection consultation

  • 30 minutes of prelude music prior to processional

  • The wedding party’s processional

  • The bride’s processional

  • Special selections during your ceremony

  • The recessional

  • The postlude; 10-15 minutes of music following the recessional

What if the ceremony starts late?
If your wedding ceremony is delayed, I will play prelude music to entertain your guests. I will never leave in the middle of a ceremony, as I don't ever book weddings back to back!

What if I have to cancel my wedding?

Sometimes the unthinkable happens, and the wedding must be called off.

If that happens, you will forfeit the small booking deposit, and I will not be paid the remaining balance. In some cases, the wedding can be rescheduled, and I will be glad to work with you to book a new date.
